Aanpassing regels voor blauwe vlaggen geweigerd

Een voorstel om de eisen voor het naleven van blauwe vlaggen te versoepelen is afgewezen door de Formule 1-teams. Dat meldt Motorsport.com. De internationale autosportbond FIA dacht door middel van minder strenge regels voor blauwe vlaggen het spektakel te kunnen vergroten.

De gedachte erachter was dat de leiders dan meer hun best moesten doen om achterliggers op een ronde te zetten. Daardoor zou de actie op de baan toenemen. Dit idee is besproken met de teams en de renstallen verzetten zich tegen het plan.

Als achterliggers een volle ronde of meer de tijd krijgen om aan de kant te gaan, dan is dat in het nadeel van de topteams. Die zullen een dergelijke aanpassing aan de regels dan ook niet steunen. En zonder unanieme steun kan de FIA het niet opnemen in de reglementen.

Een woordvoerder van de internationale autosportbond laat weten: "Het is bediscussieerd, maar er is geen beslissing genomen. Er worden dan ook geen veranderingen geïmplementeerd op de korte termijn."

    Dus als vettel dan de Mercedessen net niet bij kan houden, en Kimi bijv. buiten de punten rijdt, dan kan hij zich laten afzakken en de Mercedessen even een ronde ophouden? Lekker eerlijk...

    Ik durf het bijna niet te zeggen, maar ik ben dus tegen blauwe vlaggen. Om te voorkomen dat iedereen (die mijn berichten leest, dus zoveel zullen het er niet zijn hahaha) er op gaat reageren, zal ik meteen zeggen, dat ik begrijp dat we niet zonder kunnen om competitie vervalsing te voorkomen.

    Grote god wat een bullshit ook weer...

    Afschaffen die blauwe vlaggen. Als je iemand op een ronde kan zetten heb je dus duidelijk een betere auto -DUH- en dus kun je er ook wel voor knokken een achterblijver in te halen. De gevechten voor P1 ook maar afschaffen dan? Wie als eerste -heelhuids- door bocht een komt heeft gewonnen?

    En verder, wat kan ik daar toch kwaad om worden, dat de FIA hier niks mee kan doen, omdat de teams het wederom niet met elkaar eens zijn, wat een kleutergedoe. Niks mee te maken. Je kan met een relatief simpele maatregel wat extra spanning creeren. Hoe moeilijk is het, om met een Mercedes of Ferrari voor mijn part, een Manor auto in te halen?

    Hooguit in Monaco zal het echt lastig worden maar ik weet zeker dat ik dat heel leuk ga vinden.

    Waarom zou Hamilton wel op het randje kunnen vechten met een Vettel maar een langzamere wagen moet aan de kanten...

      Dat vraagteken mag je gerust vervangen voor een uitroepteken.
      Als Lewis het eerst door de bocht komt wint hij, en als het Nico is, wint die.
      dus het is niks nieuws onder de zon.

    Gelukkig maar, anders heb je straks de situatie dat Ferrari eindelijk met Mercedes kan vechten. Maar het dat uiteindelijk alsnog verliest omdat er 6 andere Mercedes in de weg gaan rijden, en de eigen Mercedes coureurs direct voorbij laat.

    Niet dat ik voor dit idee met blauwe vlaggen ben maar het blijft toch raar dat de teams uiteindelijk zelf hun regels bepalen? Regels worden bepaald door een overkoepelend orgaan en niet een of ander team wat bijv. hun voorsprong ziet verdwijnen door een verandering. Dat zijn toch rare praktijken als je t mij vraagt. En ieder team zondigt zich daaraan maar het zou niet moeten kunnen. Klagen is één, dwarsbomen twee.
