Arrivabene: "Toekomst Italiaanse GP ligt op Monza"

Teambaas Maurizio Arrivabene van Ferrari heeft zich uitgesproken over de eventuele komst van Imola als Italiaanse Grand Prix. Eerder deze maand werden plannen opgegooid om de race te laten wisselen tussen twee locaties: Monza en Imola. Ook Mugello zou kans maken om de organisatie in de nabije toekomst over te nemen.

"Wij maken geen beslissingen over de toekomst van de Italiaanse GP," laat Arrivabene weten. "Ik denk dat Mugello een erg technische baan is, maar de toekomst van de Italiaanse Grand Prix ligt op Monza, en zo zal het altijd blijven."

Ook over de toekomst van Kimi Raikkonen wil Arrivabene voorlopig nog geen uitsluitsel geven. De Fin komt bij Ferrari steeds meer onder druk te staan, en Williams-rijder Valtteri Bottas wordt steeds vaker aan de Scuderia gelinkt: "Maar Sergio Marchionne is heel duidelijk over Kimi: zijn toekomst ligt op dit moment in zijn eigen handen."

      GOMPIE, dat komt omdat er een minimaal één forumlid is met meerdere accounts en dat forumlid heeft een hekel aan mij. Wat ik ook schrijf, hij mint het meteen. Ik trek me daar gaan reet van aan en blijf voor mijn mening uitkomen. Dat hij zijn energie verspilt door steeds op het minnetje te klikken, moet hij zelf weten. Bedankt voor het plusje in ieder geval.

    Kan zijn, maar Imola vind ik ook een fraai circuit. De glans van Monza is door al die stomme chicanes feitelijk ook al lang weg. Als traditie en bakermat van de Italiaanse GP moet het eigenlijk wel blijven. Maar ja, zo lang als circuits achterlijke bedragen moeten dokken om ene F1 te kunnen hosten en daar vervolgens met verlies uit komen....
