Een zwaar ongeluk na het vallen van de vlag in Coca-Cola 400 op de oval van Daytona is met een sisser afgelopen. Terwijl Dale Earnhardt jr als eerste over de meet kwam ontstond achter hem een ravage, waarbij dertien auto's betrokken waren. Austin Dillon maakte de hardste klapper, hij belandde in de hekken, maar hield er alleen een gekneusd stuitje aan over. Enkele toeschouwers liepen verwondingen op.
