Uitvalbeurt Sainz niet op het conto van Renault

Renault trof geen blaam voor het uitvallen van Scuderia Toro Rosso-coureur Carlos Sainz in de Britse Grand Prix. De jonge Spanjaard maakte kans om een weekend waarin de STR10 (vooral in de trainingen) had uitgeblonken af te sluiten met een puntenfinish.

Een elektronisch probleem weerhield hem van een mooie klassering. Scuderia Toro Rosso heeft aan Motorsport.com laten weten dat de uitvalbeurt niet op het conto van Renault te schrijven valt. De Italiaanse renstal steekt de hand in eigen boezem, zonder in detail te treden.

Renault kan de eerlijkheid van Toro Rosso wel waarderen, getuige een tweet van Renault Sport F1-directeur Cyril Abiteboul. "Heel fair van Scuderia Toro Rosso. Dit betekent dat we ons kunnen blijven focussen op het toevoegen van meer performance."

    Uitvalbeurt was jammer voor Carlos, zit eigenlijk te wachten op de analyse van zijn teammaat betreffende zijn spin. Vermoed dat daar ook iets technisch aan ten grondslag lag, iets in lijn van zijn qualy deceptie.

      En ik vermoed dat het bij Max wel een gevalletje Renault was.volgens mij willen ze vriendjes blijven.

      En ik vermoed dat Masf1 blind blijft voor de eigen schuld van Max, hetgeen hij na zijn 1e verklaring zelf zei.

      Roodkapje loopt nog steeds in t bos, Sneeuwwitje is nog bij de dwergen enz.

      Ik geloof dat jij blind blijft voor het feit dat er meerdere oorzaken ten grondslag hebben gelegen dan alleen een fout van de rijder. Als er één weinig fouten maakt is het Max wel. Waar ik diverse ervaren coureurs in de VT van de baan ziet schieten of hun apex zie missen,moet ik concluderen dat Max daar veel minder last van heeft. MASF1@ heeft terecht bedenkingen, ik heb die ook.

      Je kon gewoon duidelijk zijn dat Max ze auto niet 100% was,vooral als het gas erop gaat,alleen maar wielspin,en vreemd dat hij denkt dat er wat aan de hand was,en later ze eigen schuld??

      Ik snap dat ik op een paar teentjes trap. Max verklaard in 2e instantie zelf wat de oorzaak is. Volgens jullie moeten we Max dus niet geloven??? Lachen

      STR is met een nette verklaring gekomen over Sainz nl. dat het een electronisch probleem is. STR verklaard verder niks over Max. Mocht de oorzaak in de auto zitten, dan komen ze heus wel met een verklaring om de coureur te ontlasten. Ze hebben zelfs niet verklaard dat ze een onderzoek doen.

      Kortom het lag aan Max. Big deal, die dingen gebeuren en daar leer je van. Blijven jullie lekker je bedenkingen houden...

      Nee het lag aan die Renault motor,wastgate hoord bij die schijt motor.maar blijkbaar willen ze weer vriendjes worden,en word er niet teveel over gezegd,maarja is mijn mening.

    Het team heeft nog wel wat rimpels glad te strijken. Pitstops mag ook wel aan gewerkt worden. De auto mag dan goed zijn, het is des temeer jammer als er iets fout gaat.

    @woodface,

    Ik heb Max nog op geen enkele fout kunnen betrappen en juist in de beginfases van de races is het meest voorzichtig. Juist daarom denk ik zijn kwali probleem nog niet uit de wereld was/is.
    Dat jij sprookjes als maatstaf neemt, daar kan ik je niet mee helpen helaas.

      Ja, met maar 13 auto's aan de finish, had Carlos het wel heel erg bont moeten maken om niet in de punten te finishen. Als zelfs Alonso met de huidige McLaren al een punt haalt....

    Bizar hoeveel punten BEIDE coureurs al verloren hebben door pure pech waar zij zelf geen schuld aan hadden. BEIDE coureurs zijn grote talenten in mijn ogen en hoop ik op termijn te zien bij een topteam.
