Rechtbank verordonneert Lotus om te betalen

Het team van Lotus verkeert in financiële moeilijkheden. De Britse renstal heeft van de rechtbank de opdracht gekregen om openstaande rekeningen te betalen. Lotus moet voor een totaal van 561.408 pond aflossen aan 27 partijen, meldt de Express.

Tot nu toe heeft het team pas vier partijen tevreden gesteld met een betaling, goed voor een totaal van 63.063 pond. De bedragen van de openstaande facturen variëren van 132.186 pond tot 97 pond. De meest recente onbetaalde rekening dateert van 10 juli en bedraagt 1.571 pond.

Lotus kreeg het eerder deze maand al aan de stok met leveranciers die bij de rechter aandrongen op betaling. De Britse renstal kreeg twee respijt om een regeling te treffen. Over 2013 leed bijna 65 miljoen pond verlies op een begroting van 92,7 miljoen pond.
