VS introduceert 'flexibel' kaartje voor Grand Prix

De organisatie van de Grand Prix van de Verenigde Staten gaat experimenteren met een ander soort kaartje. In plaats van bezoekers het hele weekend lang te verplichten om op een vaste plaats te zitten kunnen fans per dag aangeven op welke tribune ze plaats willen nemen. Het flexibele ticket is eerder succesvol getoetst bij het MotoGP-evenement op het Circuit of the Americas.

Geoff Moore, directeur bij het circuit nabij Austin, verklaarde aan Motorsport.com: "Het is goed ontvangen voor het MotoGP-weekend en we verkochten alle tickets die we hiervoor geïnventariseerd hadden. We hebben hetzelfde gedaan voor het WEC-evenement in september en nu proberen we het ook op de Formule 1 uit."

"Het is bedoeld om toeschouwers meer keuzevrijheid te geven. Het biedt de mogelijkheid om op vrijdag bijvoorbeeld bij bocht 5, de Esses, te kijken en dan op zaterdag de kwalificatie bij bocht 11 te volgen. Voor de race kan je dan de voorkeur geven aan de hoofdtribune, om de start en de pitstops goed te zien. Met ons nieuwe kaartje kan je het weekend zelf samenstellen."

Dat is niet echt nieuw.

Ik heb in Europa zo vaak kaartjes gekocht waarbij ik over het weekend genomen steeds ergens anders zat. Dan gingen we elke sessie op een andere tribune zitten.

    Goed plan! maar op vrijdagen heb ik gemerkt dat je op best wat circuits zelf wel rond kan bewegen en de organisatie het minder controleerde, niet in Abu Dhabi of Singapore trouwens....

      Ja...tenzij iedereen ineens op de wedstrijddag besluit om op de hoofdtribune te gaan zitten. Wordt wel errug druk dan.

      Vraag me af hoevelen van jullie ooit in Texas zijn geweest. Texas is een prachtige staat met een rijke geschiedenis, trotse mensen, erg multiculti, en veel beter weer als in NL. En ja, Texanen houden van hun wapens. So what?

    Als je laat je kaart koopt loop je dus kans dat je op verachillende tribunes moet zitten ook al wil je dat niet . Vroeger was t zo dat t zich automatisch verdeelde omdat je dan je plek koos voor ofwel traininge n ofwel de race
