'Raikkonen maakt iets meer foutjes dan Vettel'

Het snelheidsverschil tussen Ferrari-rijders Kimi Raikkonen en Sebastian Vettel is verwaarloosbaar. Dat stelt technisch directeur James Allison. Het enige verschil tussen de twee is dat Vettel nagenoeg foutloos is en Raikkonen nog wel eens een steekje kan laten vallen. Allison: "Qua snelheid zit er nauwelijks verschil tussen Kimi en Sebastian."

Hij vervolgt: "De ene keer is Kimi sneller, de andere keer Sebastian. Het verschil is dat Sebastian bijna nooit fouten begaat. Alleen in Bahrein hebben we dit jaar gezien dat hij ook fouten kan maken. Afgezien daarvan is Vettel zo goed als foutloos. Kimi laat nog wel eens wat liggen, met name in de kwalificaties. Dat zou ik ook zeggen als hij hier naast me staat en Raikkonen zou dat accepteren. Soms is een klein foutje genoeg om je weekend te verpesten. Maar Kimi heeft de snelheid nog."

Raikkonen zelf wacht rustig af wat Ferrari met hem van plan is na dit jaar. De Scuderia kan een optie op de Fin lichten. "Op de een of andere manier raak ik steeds in dit soort contractsituaties verzeild. Dat heeft verder geen effect op me. Ik weet niet meer dan aan de start van het seizoen. Ik heb meermaals aangegeven dat ik graag door wil, ook bij het team. Er is geen contract, maar wel een optie voor 2016. We zullen zien. Laten we afwachten hoe het uitpakt."

    Raikonnen is gewoon nutteloos, zet iemand anders in die Ferrari die dat zitje verdiend en niet die zuiplap

      Alleen in 2011, met afstand het slechtste jaar van de almachtige Lewis. In 2012 was Button volkomen kansloos tegen Hamilton.

      Raikkonen is klaar met de F1 hoop ik, anders zijn de F1 fans wel klaar met hem!

    Vettel nagenoeg foutloos? Niet echt vind ik, zitten een paar races tussen dat ie dr behoorlijk wat maakte. Viel mij tegen, zeker in zn debuutjaar. Had m superscherp verwacht net als Alonso in zn eerste seizoenen bij Ferrari

    Ja! Button naar Ferrari lijkt me een goed plan. Vreemd dat zijn naam in de media nauwelijks met Ferrari in verband wordt gebracht. Bottas voegt niets toe in mijn ogen.

    En dat Button kansloos was in 2012 tegen Lewis is flauwekul natuurlijk. Lewis was beter dat zeker maar ja hij is in mijn ogen een van de beste. Des te beter de prestaties van Button.

      Button en Hamilton hadden beide hun eigen kwaliteiten.
      Hamilton was sneller , Button weer slimmer en dat is op z'n minst net zo belangrijk , daarom was Button in 2011 Hamilton absoluut de baas.

      Nogmaal, eerst even de statistieken checken voorts te schreeuwen dat lewis scheel is gereden door ene jenson.
      Onder de streep had button meer punten.
      Jenson was constanter en lewis maakte meer fouten waardoor minder finishes.
      Lewis was wel sneller
