Hongaarse Grand Prix presenteert renovatieplan

De organisatie van de Grand Prix van Hongarije heeft een plan om de Hungaroring te renoveren onthuld. De komende drie jaar wordt het circuit nabij Boedapest onder handen genomen. Bernie Ecclestone heeft vandaag de ideeën besproken met Miklos Sesztak, de Hongaarse minister van Investeringen. Hij steunt het project.

Sesztak deelde aan Motorsport.com mede: "Drie jaar is het minimum dat we nodig hebben. Maar we beginnen met de belangrijkste dingen. We werken nog aan de laatste details van het plan, maar de eerste stap is een nieuwe asfaltlaag voor het circuit. We moeten enkele tribunes renoveren, want er bestaan wat problemen met onze faciliteiten."

"Dat dienen we te verbeteren, evenals ons pits- en paddockgebouw. De Grand Prix is een van de belangrijkste sportevenement voor ons land en we willen de race zo lang mogelijk blijven organiseren." Het contract van Hongarije voor een Grand Prix loopt nog door tot en met 2021.

Het is een circuit wat mischien niet goed is om in te halen, maar het is wel een leuk circuit om te rijden. volgens mij zijn er zelfs F1 coureurs die de Hungaroring als beste... [Lees verder]

    Dit is eerlijk gezegd een van de weinige circuits waar Tilke zich wat mij betreft zondermeer aan mag vergrijpen.

      Die zullen graag willen, maar ze hebben niet genoeg financiele middelen waarschijnlijk, en bovendien... Bij elke schep die ze zetten in de duinen krijgen ze al die azijnzeikers van Duinbeheer, Natuurmonumenten en al die andere groene rakkers over zich heen, en dan heb je nog 3 kansloze Overveners en 1 bewoner uit Zandvoort die al jaren de boel proberen te verzieken voor duizendedn Nederlandse autosport fans. Als Zandvoort een Grade 1 of een Grade 1T licentie willen, zouden ze eerst eens wat meer politieke steun en vrijheden moeten krijgen, en een grote investeerder die het circuit van Ernst wil kopen.
      En dan nog, de aanvoerwegen zijn al jaren bar slecht. F1 kan je wel vergeten daar, zie 't nog eerder op Assen dan op Zandvoort terugkeren, en zelfs die kans is nihil.

      Het iChallange project lijkt leuk, maar komt niet van de grond door verschillende redenen. Momenteel zijn ze al bezig met de derde gemeente... Dit keer zou het bij Lelystad moeten komen. Helaas zie ik het niet gebeuren met deze heren achter het project.

      Flevoland lijkt me overigens wel 1 van de laatste plekken in ons landje waar het nog enigszins zou kunnen qua ruimte en afstand tussen bevolkte gebieden. Echter, er is vooral heel heel heel veel geld voor nodig.
      Helaas willen gemeentes, provincies en landelijke politiek liever een zoveelste voetbalstadion vol los geslagen idioten, dan dat ze na meer dan 50 jaar weer eens open staan voor een nieuwe up-to-date autosport faciliteit in dit land.

    Van mij mag het circuit van de kalender verdwijnen en bijvoorbeeld Brno, Aragon of Portimao er voor terug laten komen.

    Voor iedereen die wat tegen de Hungaroring heeft, het is verassend leuk en erg gezellig. Zowel op de baan, langs de baan op de campings als in Budapest zelf. Ga kijken. Er is alleen 1 groot minpunt. De afvoer van de fans. Heen met de bus gaat prima 30 km buiten Budapest. Alleen terug staan er 40.000 mensen in een klein dorpje bij het circuit en zijn er veel te weinig bussen. Ook is er geen regulatie of onvoldoende. Zouden ze wat aan moeten doen. Taxi beidt uitkomst, 50 euro naar Budapest even delen met een paar andere fans.

    Helemaal mee eens Erikworld. Mensen klagen hier wel maar qua bezoekersaantallen is het er wel altijd druk. Een gezellige sfeer, parkeren met de auto vlakbij t circuit.. (terug moet je geen haast hebben.. maar het is toch een uitje?) De stad Budapest super! Het weer ook meestal.
    Ik ben er 2 keer geweest en vond het echt super! Oja.. met een staplaats kun je een groot deel van t circuit overzien.
    In Hongarije staat de GP als sportevenement ook goed aangeschreven.

    Van mij mag het circuit zeker blijven!
