Webber: "Geen vijandigheid tegenover Vettel"

Mark Webber beschouwt Sebastian Vettel niet als een vijand. De twee konden in de laatste jaren van hun gezamenlijke periode bij Red Bull Racing elkaars bloed wel drinken, maar sinds Webber de Formule 1 verlaten heeft is dat gevoel wel weggeëbd. Ze respecteren elkaar meer dan tijdens hun periode als teamgenoten.

Dat onthulde Webber op Motorsport.com. "Ongeacht het team waar Seb voor rijdt, de relatie zou sowieso erop vooruit zijn gegaan. We zaten bij Red Bull Racing in elkaars territorium, in elkaars vaarwater. Dat maakte het een lastige situatie. We hebben veel over onszelf geleerd. Ik aan het einde van mijn carrière en Seb aan het begin van zijn loopbaan."

"Het is snel geëscaleerd, wat betreft hoe we elkaar bestreden op de baan. Nu zit ik niet meer in de Formule 1 en het evolueert nog steeds in rap tempo. Ik heb niet veel vijanden, voor zover ik die überhaupt heb. We hebben juist veel respect voor elkaar. We respecteerden elkaar ook al toen we nog teamgenoten waren, maar nu waarschijnlijk ietsje meer."

Ik ben geen Webber fan maar het commentaar is kinderachtig en niet relevant met het artikel.
