Belastingvrije investering redding voor Monza

Het circuit van Monza heeft een belangrijke stap gezet in de richting van behoud van de Italiaanse Grand Prix. De senaat is akkoord gegaan met het beschikbaar stellen van een belastingvrije investeringen van 20 miljoen euro voor de Formule 1-race en de modernisatie van de baan, zo melden lokale media.

Voormalig coureur Ivan Capelli, tegenwoordig voorzitter van de automobielclub van Milaan, zegt in L'Eco di Bergamo: "Dit is een belangrijk signaal waaruit de bereidheid van de Italiaanse regering om de toekomst van de Grand Prix van Italië veilig te stellen blijkt." Andrea Dell'Orto van promotor Sias kondigde aan om snel met de burgemeesters van Milaan en Monza om de tafel te gaan zitten, en daarna de onderhandelingen met Bernie Ecclestone te vervolgen.

Antonio Rossi, minister van Sport in de regio Lombardije: "We hebben er altijd in geloofd en nu kunnen we de Italiaanse Grand Prix op Monza redden. De Formule 1 zonder deze historische race is ondenkbaar. Dat zou gekkenwerk zijn en onherstelbare schade voor ons land en de sport aanrichten."

Roberto Maroni, president van de regio Lombardije, tot slot in Gazzetta dello Sport: "Dankzij deze belastingvrije investering kunnen we voor begin september een nieuwe overeenkomst met Bernie Ecclestone afsluiten."

Kijk zo kan het ook.
In NL was er ongetwijfeld een actiegroep in het leven geroepen die deze belastingvrijstelling had aangevochten onder de noemer racisme of haar gelijk had gehaald bij het Europese hof voor de rechten van de mens.
Italie maakt gewoon 20 miljoen vrij en ze zeuren er niet eens over. En daar komen per dag meer vluchtelingen aan dan hier in 50 jaar!!
