'F1 in overtreding met propvolle 2016-kalender'

De onvrede over het overvolle schema voor volgend seizoen groeit. De Formule 1-kalender voor 2016 bevat een recordaantal van 21 Grands Prix en de races zijn in een korter tijdsbestek op elkaar gepropt. Dat gaat ten koste van de jaarlijkse zomervakantie.

Sauber uitte al zorgen over de uitdijende kalender en waarschuwde dat de teams hierdoor meer middelen en personeel nodig hebben. En Christian Horner van Red Bull Racing voegde toe: "Het is zwaar voor de fabriek om een jaar zonder zomervakantie vol te houden. Ik denk dat het belangrijk is om de zomerstop in stand te houden."

Een anonieme teambaas heeft nu aan Auto Motor und Sport laten weten dat de Formule 1 in overtreding is met de volle kalender voor 2016. "Zowel het verdwijnen van de zomerpauze als het overschrijden van het aantal van twintig races is in strijd met de afspraken. Dus het is alleen mogelijk als alle teams ermee instemmen. En dat is niet het geval."

Alleen heef nog geen van de renstallen formeel een klacht ingediend.

    Ik zit er eigenlijk ook niet zo op te wachten om 21 zondagmiddagen op te offeren voor het kijken naar de F1. Hoe leuk ik de F1 ook vind, ik heb ook andere verplichtingen en dingen te doen. Ik vind een kleinere kalender eigenlijk ook wel prima. 16/17 races net als vroeger zou wat mij betreft optimaal zijn.

      Eens, ik vind sowieso dat ze een beetje de weg kwijt zijn. Later beginnen, minder testen, meer races, zomerbreak opofferen. Ze voeren de druk op het personeel behoorlijk op en ik vrees dat het punt van verzadiging bereikt gaat worden als het allemaal doorgaat. Immers geldt nog steeds kwaliteit boven kwantiteit...

      Als je meerdere races in een seizoen hebt is de kans toch groter dat er een race plaats vindt op het moment dat je geen andere verplichtingen of dingen te doen hebt?
      Dan erbij kun je het ook opnemen of op internet terugkijken, kun je de "saaie" gedeeltes nog doorspoelen ook.
      Tevens worden er op bijv. de BBC mooie samenvattingen uitgezonden.

      Nou wat mij betreft kunnen het niet genoeg races zijn en ik zou dus wél graag 21 races zien. Daar offer ik mijn zondagen graag voor op.

      We hebben allemaal verplichtingen, ik neem de races op sluit dan me oren en ogen voor nieuws en kijk dan lekker een dag later als het moet. Heerlijk hoe meer hoe beter.

      Ik heb ook verplichtingen, maar een kleinere kalender no way! Je bent niet verplicht om naar alle races te kijken, je bent of gewoon fan of fanatieke fan.

    De teams wachten tot de kalender definitief is. Zolang dat niet het geval is, heeft het geen nut om een klacht in te dienen.

    Och ze hebben dit jaar twee breaks gehad, eentje van 3 weken eentje van 4.
    Ook ik ben van mening dat er teveel races staan, maar Bernie wil met zijn circus cashen.
    Levert een miljard op seizoen 2016.

    Tja, aan de andere kant zie ik het probleem niet. Ik ben zelf ook ondernemer (10 man in dienst), wij werken ook 'gewoon' de gehele zomer door (met wisselende vakanties). Dat zou in de F1 ook moeten kunnen, evenals een langere kalender. Er moet dan wel extra geld tegenover staan voor de teams uiteraard...

    Vraag jezelf eens af, waarom zoveel races...? Geen wonder dat er niet voldoende kan worden 'getest'.

    Als men nou 16-17 races per jaar houden, dan kunnen de teams tenminste FLINK testen. En dus heb je teams als Mclaren/Redbull/Williams die dan aan kunnen haken bij Mercedes & Ferrari, en mee kunnen vechten = meer spektakel.

    Blabla zomerpauze. Het liefst testen de meeste teams 365 per jaar in de windtunnel en met CFD. Makkelijk roepen over gemaakte afspraken in het verleden. Hypocriet.

    "Dus het is alleen mogelijk als alle teams ermee instemmen. En dat is niet het geval.", hier moet de F1 echt vanaf, dit pure onzin in mijn ogen! De Fia en Fom bepalen de regels en niet de teams! Ik geef de teams wel gelijk met de verdiende zomer pauze, ze werken hard en zien hun gezin maar weinig. Maar om de gaan roepen dat de teams moeten instemmen in in mijn ogen belachelijk.
