Singapore volgende kans voor Red Bull Racing

Het team van Red Bull Racing houdt er sterk rekening mee dat het in België en Italië geen rol van betekenis zal spelen. De Oostenrijkse renstal stond in Hongarije voor het eerst dit jaar op het podium, maar op de snelle circuits van Spa-Francorchamps en Monza zijn ze met de zwakke Renault-motor in het nadeel. In Singapore kan Red Bull Racing weer hoge ogen gooien.

Dat denkt teambaas Christian Horner. "We leven in het moment en gaan pas na de zomerpauze echt aan Spa, en met name aan Monza, denken. Die weekenden worden uitdagender dan Hongarije. Singapore is waarschijnlijk onze volgende kans om te schitteren. We blijven pushen en de auto ontwikkelen. En wie weet, misschien regent het in België. Je moet klaar staan om toe te slaan wanneer mogelijkheden zich onverwacht aandienen."

"De aerodynamica-afdeling heeft de voorkant van de auto verbeterd en mechanisch hebben we ook een aantal verbeteringen doorgevoerd. De regelwijzigingen van afgelopen winter hebben ons pijn gedaan, maar dat is reeds uitvoerig besproken. We hebben ons daarvan hersteld en de afgelopen twee, drie races waren positief wat het chassis betreft."
