Dennis streeft meerderheidsbelang McLaren na

Ron Dennis onderneemt nog altijd verwoede pogingen om een meerderheidsbelang in McLaren te bemachtigen. De directeur van de McLaren Group bereikte eind vorig jaar een akkoord met Mumtalakat en TAG over de afdracht van hun aandelen aan hem, maar dat is tot op heden niet gebeurd.

Een McLaren-woordvoerder verklaarde in december: "Op het moment van uitvoering zullen Mumtalakat en TAG een deel van hun aandelen overdragen aan Ron Dennis. De verwachting is dat dit ergens volgend jaar gebeurt. Het doel van deze transactie is om de verdere groei van de McLaren Group te faciliteren en te versterken."

Die overdracht heeft nog niet plaats gevonden. Speed Week bericht dat Dennis tot het einde van november heeft om het benodigde geld bijeen te harken. Of dat gaat lukken valt nog te bezien. Partner Honda wacht af en bekijkt van een afstandje hoe de kwestie zich ontvouwt. De Japanse autofabrikant zou in eigen land drie potentiële sponsors gevonden hebben.

    Zou dit dan de reden zijn dat er geen titelsponsor aanwezig is op de wagens? Omdat Dennis zelf nog niet zn eigen financien rond heeft.

    Vraag me af wat Dennis hier mee wil bereiken, bij die meerderheid kan hij McLaren dus nóg meer naar zijn hand zetten?

      Verkopen aan een derde partij welke hij wenselijk acht.

      TAG= lange termijn aandeelhouder die RD aan de Porsche deal geholpen heeft. De ene broer die op de hand van RD is heeft zich grotendeels terug getrokken na een long transplantatie. De andere broer heeft het niet zo met F1.

      Mumtalakat: Redelijk recente aandeelhouder die mee moest doen met zijn streekgenoten die o.a. een belang in Ferrari hebben. Voor RD kwam deze kapitaalinjectie goed uit voor het opzetten van de straatauto tak (toen nog de SLR enz)

      RD wil alle aandelen terug zodat hij weer een nieuwe partner kan zoeken. Die partner kan ook zomaar een bank zijn (onderpand)

    Natuurlijk.
    Waarom zou Mc Laren geen sponsors kunnen aantrekken ?
    Die stront eigenwijze Dennis met zijn arrogantie heeft de huidige situatie zelf bewerkstelligd.
    Tuurlijk kan McLaren wel een titel sponsor krijgen.
    T'is de juiste instelling van 2 kanten Ron Dennis !

    Zal me niets verbazen als hij het geld heeft en er spontaan grote sponsoren verschijnen.
    Dan team naar voren helpen en weer verkopen.
    Zou echt iets voor Dennis zijn.
