Race of Champions strikt MotoGP-ster Lorenzo

MotoGP-coureur Jorge Lorenzo heeft zijn deelname aan de Race of Champions 2015 toegezegd. De Spanjaard doet in november mee aan het evenement in het Olympisch Stadion van Londen. In zijn tot nu toe enige Race of Champions-optreden in 2012 haalde hij de halve finale in de Nations Cup.

Lorenzo: "Het is een opwindend seizoen in de MotoGP en ik kan me er nu op verheugen om het jaar af te sluiten door het op te nemen tegen de beste coureurs bij de Race of Champions. Ik onderschat de uitdaging niet en ik ben blij dat het deelnemersveld met Mick Doohan nog een motorrijder bevat."

"Wij gaan er alles aan doen om de autocoureurs eraan te herinneren dat wij ook op vier wielen snel kunnen zijn. Ik hoop dat het publiek ervan geniet en net als wij plezier beleeft aan dit evenement. Nu ga ik hard aan het werk om als drievoudig in plaats van tweevoudig kampioen in Londen te arriveren."
