Pakket B-auto Force India in Singapore compleet

Het team van Force India denkt vanaf de Grand Prix van Singapore de volledige potentie van de B-versie van de VJM08 te kunnen benutten. De wagen die het in de Britse Grand Prix introduceerde was namelijk maar een vrij 'kaal' pakket. De Indiase renstal zal de komende races meer nieuwe onderdelen aan de bolide toevoegen. In Singapore is de B-auto pas echt compleet.

Dat verkondigde technisch directeur Andy Green aan Autosport. "De auto waar we sinds Silverstone mee rijden is pas de eerste stap in een serie ontwikkelingen die we de komende weekenden ontvouwen. We realiseren het volledige potentieel pas in Singapore. We mikken er in elk geval op om de upgrade daar af te ronden, dan is het pakket compleet."

"De komende updates behelzen nieuwe voor- en achtervleugels, een andere diffuser, een vernieuwde bodemplaat. Het zijn vrij grote onderdelen. De B-auto zit momenteel op vijftig procent van wat we voor ogen hadden met de upgrade en de komende Grands Prix zullen we daar stapsgewijs de overige nieuwe componenten bij aanbrengen."

"Niet alle problemen van de VJM08 zijn verholpen door de B-versie, we hebben niet aan alle wensen van de coureurs kunnen voldoen, maar we hebben wel een grote stap in de juiste richting gezet. De situatie is flink verbeterd. De wagen was niet in balans, overstuur in de ene bocht en onderstuur in de volgende bocht. Dat is wel grotendeels opgelost."

Hoe komt Force India Plots aan zoveel geld om dat te ontwikkelen, ok vorig jaar was matig en je hoorde niet veel over update maar dit jaar? Hoop dat ze de aansluiting naar boven zullen vinden...en dat ze jaren mogen en kunnen door racen!!!

  Vorig jaar en de jaren daarvoor hadden ze ook updates, maar daar hoorde je minder over. Voor zover bij mij bekend ging het in eerdere jaren ook nooit echt om een ''B-auto''.
  
  En die weg naar boven? Die zijn ze al (bijna) jaarlijks sinds 2008 aan het beklimmen :)

  Ze reden eerst gewoon met dezelfde wagen als vorig jaar natuurlijk. Weliswaar met updates, maar goed.
  
  Deze b-auto is eigenlijk wat andere teams al in de winter gebracht hebben. Dat hun 2015 wagen pas echt in Singapore volledig is zegt genoeg over de situatie waarin FI zit.
