Ferrari ingericht naar de wensen van Arrivabene

Het team van Ferrari heeft nu de contouren van de formatie die teambaas Maurizio Arrivabene in zijn hoofd had toen hij eind vorig jaar het roer overnam van Marco Mattiacci. Het resultaat in België was niet om over naar huis te schrijven, maar Arrivabene was wel gelukkig over de manier waarop de Italiaanse renstal opereerde. Hij heeft de Scuderia naar zijn hand gezet.

Arrivabene: "Het mooie, als je het zo wil noemen, aan het weekend op Spa is dat ik op alle dagen een geweldig team aan het werk gezien heb. Vrijdag en zaterdag hadden we veel problemen en ze zijn daar bewonderenswaardig mee omgesprongen. Dit is het Ferrari zoals ik het wil zien."

"Dat is het eerste punt. Punt twee is dat beide coureurs zich kranig hebben geweerd. Sebastian Vettel reed met een leeuwenhart, dat is het type rijder dat ik graag in mijn team heb. Kimi toonde ook zijn strijdlust door na een opmars vanuit de achterhoede als zevende te finishen. Als ik dan positief moet zijn over dit weekend, dan is dat over de groei die we als team doormaken."

"Ik ben trots op hoe het team heeft gereageerd op de problemen waar we op gestuit zijn. Het eerste signaal gaven ze al af in Hongarije. Ik had daar na de race meer reden tot lachen, maar ook op de Hungaroring verliep de vrijdag problematisch en daar hebben we ons knap van herpakt."

Ik vind het een hele goede gast. En gewoon wat het huidige Ferrari uitstraalt staat mij wel aan.

  Yep, ik ook. Typische Italiaan met een enorme liefde voor Ferrari (en Marlboro), toch is het geen typische teambaas zoals alle andere en dat is goed.
  
  Ook blijkt hij in staat om het team on-Italiaans te runnen wat ook weer positief is. Het lijkt er op dat Arrivabene (en Vettel) weten te bereiken wat Domenicali (en Alonso) niet wisten te bereike op de een of andere manier.

  Het ziet er goed uit maar ik durf nog niet te zeggen dat ze al bereiken wat Dominicali/Alonso niet is gelukt. Daarvoor ben ik te voorzichtig geworden de afgelopen seizoenen, want ook toen heeft t er veelbelovend uitgezien. Het probleem is toen altijd geweest om die laatste stap waar te maken en waren die verder qua prestaties dan Ferrari tot nog toe is. Ik hoop t maar ik moet t nog zien. Die auto moet gewoon nog een stuk beter.

Heb het gevoel dat ie Verstappen beschrijft. Verstappen is ook zo ver naar voren gereden, met een mindere auto dan de Ferarri. En reed ook zeker met een leeuwenhart!
Zou dus serieus best kunnen dat Max naar Ferarri gaat in 2017. Met Arrivabene zou dat zo maar eens kunnen!
