Ferrari legt technisch directeur Allison langer vast

James Allison heeft zijn contract bij Ferrari verlengd tot en met 2018. Dat verkondigt insider Leo Turrini op zijn blog voor Quotidiano. Technisch directeur Allison kwam even onder druk te staan toen de opmars van Ferrari eerder dit jaar stagneerde, maar de Scuderia spreekt het vertrouwen in hem uit

De Italiaanse renstal verbaasde eerder door Kimi Raikkonen een nieuwe verbintenis voor te schotelen en contractverlenging voor Allison was het volgende punt op de agenda. De aankondiging van de nieuwe overeenkomst met de Brit wordt dit weekend op Monza verwacht. Turrini: "Allison heeft recent een nieuw contract bij Ferrari getekend."

De technisch directeur krijgt volgend jaar gezelschap van engineer Jock Clear. Die werkte in het verleden bij Mercedes met Lewis Hamilton en samen met Allison moet hij Ferrari naar nieuwe successen loodsen. Turrini: "Ze krijgen allebei genoeg te doen en ik zal voor ze duimen."

Het tweede is dat Ferrari met RB gaat praten in Monza over het leveren van motoren voor RBR en STR.
