Omzet Williams gestegen in eerste helft van 2015

Williams Grand Prix Holdings PLC heeft de financiële cijfers over de eerste helft van dit jaar gepresenteerd. De overkoepelende organisatie van het Formule 1-team uit Grove noteerde over de periode tot en met 30 juni een omzet van 63,2 miljoen pond. Dat is een stijging ten opzichte van 2014, toen de omzet van Williams over de eerste zes maanden van het jaar 44,1 miljoen pond bedroeg.

De Formule 1-tak van Williams was verantwoordelijk voor 51,8 miljoen pond aan inkomsten. Williams Group-directeur Mike O'Driscoll: "Onze financiële resultaten over de eerste helft van 2015 vertonen een significante verbetering ten opzichte van vorig jaar, met een omzetgroei en positieve cash flow. De operationele kasstroom is iets afgenomen, maar dat hadden we ingecalculeerd."

"De verbeterde sportieve prestaties van het Formule 1-team vertalen zich in meer inkomsten uit de prijzenpot en hogere bijdrages van sponsors. Daar plukken we financieel gezien de vruchten van. Deze tussenresultaten zijn bemoedigend en geven een goede progressie weer. We zijn vastberaden om de fundering te verstevigen voor sportieve en commerciële successen in de toekomst."
