Slotstuk van Formule 1-seizoen 2016 in december

De seizoensfinale vindt in 2016 waarschijnlijk plaats in december. Dat deelde Bernie Ecclestone mede aan Autosport en Motorsport.com. Het is alleen nog de vraag waar. In het ene bericht gaat het om Maleisië, in het andere artikel om Abu Dhabi. Maleisië stond op de voorlopige kalender voor volgend jaar ingepland als back-to-back race met Singapore, maar de organisatie in Singapore heeft daar bezwaar tegen aangetekend.

Ecclestone legt uit aan Autosport: "We positioneren de Maleisische Grand Prix later in het seizoen, in december, ver weg van Singapore. In Maleisië waren ze tevreden over de oorspronkelijke datum die ze toebedeeld kregen, in Singapore waren ze er niet blij mee, dus daar hebben we naar gekeken. Dat is waarschijnlijk het enige dat we nog veranderen."

Aan Motorsport.com liet hij echter weten: "Maleisië wordt niet de seizoensfinale, maar waarschijnlijk de voorlaatste race." Mogelijk schuiven de Grands Prix van België, Italië en Singapore een weekje op om ruimte te maken voor een zomerstop in augustus. Dat is in elk geval wel de wens van de teams en staat op de agenda voor de volgende Strategy Group-bijeenkomst.

De kalender voor 2016 komt er dan zo uit te zien:

  Daar heb je gelijk in. Maar toch zie ik liever Maleisië als afsluiting van het seizoen dan Abu Dhabi.
  Nog liever Brazilië maar dat terzijde.

ik vraag me serieus af wat het nut is om van op naar her te reizen om maar naar alle circuits te komen. het is toch veel makkelijker om eerst alle races in azie te laten racen voordat ze naar europa en amerika gaan. daarnaast zijn er een aantal banen die ze van mij mogen schrappen zoals rusland, bakoe en bahrein en abu dhabi kun je ook wel weglaten als je het mij vraagt, singapore mag ook nog wel afvallen als het moet. daar mogen andere banen voor terugkomen en tevens een groter aantal races per seizoen.
heb even een lijstje gemaakt met banen die wat mij betreft wel terug mogen komen en banen die behouden moeten blijven

natuurlijk staan er een paar races bij waarvan ik zou dromen dat ze terug zouden komen en sommige zijn totaal onrealistisch dat ze terugkomen zoals een detroit.
heb tevens rekening met afrika en scandinavie gehouden omdat ze daar ook weer van een grandprix spreken. ik zou op een 25 tal realistische banen komen die een race kunnen/willen organiseren. tevens ook weer meer grindbakken en minder asfalt langs de baan zodat je eerder wordt bestraft als je een fout maakt.

Ik vindt het een mooi lang en vol seizoen met mogelijk alleen een kleine break in augustus. Hopen dat er geen races tussen uit gaan vallen en je wel in eens weer met een maand niks zit.
