Williams verwacht sterk weekend na goede vrijdag

Williams richtte zich vandaag vooral op het optimaliseren van het pakket dat het heeft meegenomen naar Monza. Felipe Massa en Valtteri Bottas verwachten competitief te kunnen zijn op de hogensnelheidsbaan ten noorden van Milaan. Ook is het team dat het droog bleef tijdens beide trainingen. 

Bottas over zijn vrijdag: "Ik ben blij dat we geen regen hebben gehad vandaag en het programma voor vandaag zonder problemen hebben kunnen afronden. Veel aandacht ging uit naar de afstelling van de wagen. We hebben verschillende dingen geprobeerd  op beide auto's en veel data kunnen verzamelen. We hopen competitief te kunnen zijn in de rest van het weekend."

Beide Williams-coureurs eindigden de dag in de top tien. Bottas reed de negende tijd, terwijl zijn Braziliaanse teamgenoot Felipe Massa tot een tiende tijd kwam in de tweede vrije training. Massa kijkt met een tevreden gevoel terug op zijn vrijdag: "Het ging goed vandaag en de balans van de auto stemt me tevreden. We moeten de data analyseren en kijken waar we staan ten opzichte van de anderen in de korte en lange runs. De auto ziet er sterk uit hier en ik hoop een goede kwalificatie te kunnen rijden."

Niks nieuws. Williams is elk weekend in de vrije trainingen met afstel werkzaamheden bezig en in de kwalificatie staan ze er gewoon weer. Leuk voor FI en Lotus maar Williams is toch een klap sneller indien er uiteraard geen problemen zijn.

    Volgens mij deed Force India het vandaag beter dan Williams, dus mogen Claire en haar mannen eigenlijk niet tevreden zijn.

      Gelukkig maar :-)

      Noem eens 1 vrijdag waar Williams bezig is met de tijden op de ranglijst.
      Williams doet niet mee aan dat ene snelle rondje, als het droog is staan ze morgen 4 en 6 ;-)

      Daar zeg je wat bij: als het droog is! Het ziet er naar uit dat we regen krijgen tijdens de kwalificatie.

      Minnetje kwam overigens niet van mij. Zal ik het neutraliseren?

      Nu gaan we twee dingen door elkaar halen

      Als het regent gaat die Williams niet zo best, dan is bekend, al jaren ;-)

      Op vrijdag heeft het niet regent dus dan is geen excuus voor een lagere klassering bij de VT1 en VT2. Maar nogmaals, Williams is daar niet mee bezig, die gaan voor set up.

      FI is en Lotus zijn ook aan het profileren. Als het droog is met de kwali, Williams 4 en 6 ;-)

      En het minnetje, echt? I really dont care ;-)
