Stevens verslaat Mehri weer eens

Manor-coureurs Will Stevens en Robert Mehri vechten dit seizoen voornamelijk met elkaar, de auto is niet snel genoeg om het gevecht aan te gaan met de concurrentie. Waar Stevens aan het begin van het seizoen de overhand had, werd de Brit de vorige drie wedstrijden verslaan door zijn Spaanse teamgenoot. In Monza waren de rollen weer eens omgedraaid in het voordeel van Stevens.

"Een goede race. De auto was goed in balans en door de gridstraffen van anderen konden we in het begin heel even vechten met die jongens. Na de beginfase was mijn race een stuk rustiger, maar ben ik blijven pushen. Ik voelde me het hele weekend lekker in de auto en heb eindelijk mijn teamgenoot weer eens kunnen verslaan", aldus Will Stevens.

Roberto Mehri kende een minder weekend. De Spanjaard is dan ook niet geheel tevreden met zijn race: "Voor mij liep het allemaal wat moeizamer dit weekend. De vorige races deed ik het beter, maar het geluk kan niet altijd aan je zijde zijn. Als team hebben we het dit weekend goed gedaan en ik ga met een goed gevoel naar de komende races."
