Lewis Hamilton toont compassie voor McLaren

Mercedes-coureur Lewis Hamilton heeft medelijden met het ploeterende McLaren-Honda. De regerend wereldkampioen zette bij de Britse renstal zijn eerste schreden in de Formule 1 en samen wonnen ze in 2008 de titel. Nadien is er een hoop veranderd.

Hamilton koos op het juiste moment voor een transfer naar Mercedes. De zilverpijlen heersen momenteel in de Formule 1, terwijl McLaren aanmoddert in de achterhoede. Tot afgrijzen van Hamilton. "Ik draag dat team nog altijd een warm hart toe", citeert AS de Brit.

"Om ze zo te zien worstelen, in de wetenschap dat ze historisch gezien altijd competitief en succesvol zijn geweest, is niet makkelijk. Als ik ze onderaan de tijdenlijstjes zie staan, net boven de mannen van Manor, dan voel ik me gewoon slecht. Het doet pijn."

      Dat begrijpen wij wel Hunt, Mclaren en Hunt is in een woord histories, maar humor had Hunt ook jij blijkbaar niet.

    Het is inderdaad gewoon echt echt spijtig Dat coureurs als Fernando en Button als veldvulling meerijden.
    en McLaren heeft nog wel zo'n mooie livery. Maar het is een draak van een wagen. Doordat Button erin zit heb ik een soort Earthcar gevoel. die groenzwarte Honda die het jaar erna wit met groen was. Ook zo'n hekkensluiter waarbij de livery synoniem werd voor een slechte auto.

    McLaren had gewoon de Mercedes motor moeten houden. Hadden ze dit jaar met Williams kunnen vechten om de 3e plek.

    Hamilton werd de grond in geboord toen bekent werd dat hij voor Mercedes-Benz zou rijden. Nooit meer zou Hamilton winnen werd er gezegd en de media ging ook helemaal los en er werd openlijk aan Hamilton's intelligentie getwijveld. Zou allemaal om het geld zijn gegaan terwijl Hamilton de best betaalde coureur kon worden als hij bij McLaren zou blijven, ik kan me nog herrinneren dat het zelfs op RTL nieuws kwam en kijk nu. Na Hamilton's vertrek heeft McLaren niks meer bereikt dan twee podium plaatsen in Australië 2014.

      Ja, inderdaad niemand snapte waarom hij naar Mercedes ging. Naar het blijkt een van zn beste moves. Ik denk dat McLaren Honda over een paar jaar ook HET team gaan worden.

      Veel mensen denken dat het winnen makkelijk is. Hamilton mag eigenlijk geen fouten maken en bij een slechte race krijgt hij alle (per)s over zich heen.
      Iemand in de middenmoot kan zich wel fouten permitteren. Maakt het veel uit of Max, Nasr of Hulkenberg een foutje (en 1 of 2 plekken verliezen)?
