Stirling Moss viert vandaag zijn 86ste verjaardag

Oud Formule 1-coureur Stirling Moss is vandaag jarig. De Brit heeft de respectabele leeftijd van 86 jaar bereikt. Moss debuteerde in 1951 in de Formule 1 en reed in 1961 de laatste van zijn 66 Grands Prix. Hij won zestien keer. De Brit eindigde vier keer als tweede in het kampioenschap en drie keer als derde. Het winnen van de titel was echter nooit voor hem weggelegd. De felicitaties gaan vandaag uit naar de jarige Stirling Moss.

Met recht een held en levende legende deze man. Het verhaal over zijn Mille Miglia van 1955 leest als een spannend boek. Ik ben erg blij dat ik deze man enkele malen op Goodwood Festival of Speed in het echt heb mogen zien rijden.
