Virgin Racing: "Hopelijk kunnen we in Turkije snelheid toevoegen"

Het dit jaar debuterende Virgin Racing heeft een moeizaam begin van het seizoen achter de rug. Een te klein ontworpen brandstoftank en veel uitvalbeurten vielen de Britse renstal ten deel. Pas in de vijfde Grand Prix haalden beide coureurs de finish. In Monaco haalden Timo Glock en Lucas di Grassi de finish echter weer niet.

Toch denkt Virgin Racing dat het vanaf Turkije meer met het tempo van de VR-01 aan de slag kan. Teambaas John Booth: Barcelona was belangrijk voor ons. Dat was de eerste keer dat we met beide wagens de eindstreep haalden. De eerste vier races waren niet goed genoeg en teleurstellend, maar Spanje was een grote opluchting. 99 procent van onze inzet focust zich nog op betrouwbaarheid, maar hopelijk kunnen we vanaf de komende race ook snelheid aan de auto toevoegen.
