Uitstel voor Lotus na tussenkomst door Renault

De rechtszaak die de Britse belastingdienst tegen Lotus F1 Team aangespannen heeft, is opnieuw uitgesteld. Renault en Lotus brachten vanochtend naar buiten dat een intentieverklaring over de verkoop van de renstal aan de Franse autofabrikant is getekend.

Dat was voor de rechter aanleiding genoeg om de zaak met zeventig dagen uit te stellen. De volgende hoorzitting staat nu gepland voor 7 december. Renault moet ruim binnen die periode in staat geacht worden om de puntjes op de i te zetten voor de overname van Lotus.

Craig Slater van Sky Sports F1 schetst de situatie: "Renault heeft Lotus geld geleend om de belastingschuld af te lossen. Die rekening is dus betaald, maar de rechtszaak is geschorst om te voorkomen dat meer schuldeisers naar de rechter stappen voordat de verkoop afgerond is."

    Jeetje zeg, word het nog verder uitgesteld allemaal, begin echt het gevoel te krijgen dat Renault de zaak gigantisch aan het rekken is (waarschijnlijk vanwege eventuele financiele voordelen)

      En geef ze eens ongelijk, de bedragen zijn ook voor Renault niet bepaald wisselgeld.

      Het "voordeligste" is om de boel om te laten vallen en daarna zo goed als schuldenvrij over te kopen. Probleem is alleen dat men dan ook geen recht heeft op het prijzengeld van dit jaar en dat gaat ook wel om een paar centen.

      Renault probeert dus, begrijpelijk, alles zo lang mogelijk te rekken om zo voordelig mogelijk hun oude team terug te kopen.

    mmmm, aan een kant fijn dat de renstal gered wordt, maar ik krijg ook het gevoel dat er straks een heleboel mensen naar hun centen kunnen fluiten.
    Ik ben benieuwd wat Renault straks gaat doen, of misschien in een achterkamertje al gedaan heeft om hun motor competitief te maken, want op de manier zoals het nu gaat wil je toch als fabriekant niet doorgaan.

    Zou er werkelijk nog iemand hier op de site zo naïef zijn om het grote Renault te geloven ?
    Veel beloven en weinig geven doet de gek in vreugde leven.
