'Geruchten Button naar Renault klinkklare onzin'

De verhalen dat Jenson Button na dit seizoen mogelijk verkast naar het fabrieksteam van Renault berusten volgens zijn huidige werkgever McLaren niet op waarheid. Sterker nog, volgens de Britse renstal is het nonsens dat de wereldkampioen van 2009 volgend jaar voor Renault F1 rijdt.

"Die geruchten zijn klinkklare onzin", aldus een woordvoerder van McLaren. De Daily Mirror bracht Button met een terugkeer naar Renault in verband. De Engelsman kwam namelijk al eerder voor het Franse merk uit in de Formule 1, in het jaar 2002. Hij scoorde dat seizoen veertien punten.

Ondanks het gesteggel tussen Button en McLaren-baas Ron Dennis over een al dan niet getekend contract voor 2016, heeft hij geen behoefte meer aan een transfer. "Na al die jaren samen zou het verkeerd voelen om ergens anders heen te gaan. Als ik in 2016 in de Formule 1 actief ben, dan is het namens McLaren-Honda", citeerde Speed Week de eenmalig wereldkampioen.

    eindelijk weer eens goed nieuws voor Mclaren. Ze hebben een nieuwe sponsor in Chandon gevonden.

      waar halen jullie die onzin toch vandaan? Als je je even verdiept, dan kom je er vanzelf achter, dat Johnny walker een merk van Diageo is (Force India sponsor en FIA sponsor) en Chandon is een wijnhuis van MoëtHennesy. Waarschijnlijk zetten ze dus Chandon erop ipv Moët&Chandon, omdat het anders conflicten geeft met Mumm.

      geen onzin, jij zoekt kennelijk niet ver genoeg, want er bestaat ook nog het bedrijf Moët Hennessy Diageo (MDH)

      Zucht.. het is Johnnie Walker! En ja er is een verband tussen Diageo ('s werelds grootste drankenproducent en ook eigenaar van Force India sponsor Smirnoff) en Moet Hennessy die mede eigenaar is van champagne merk Moet & Chandon
