Carlos Sainz heeft eerder vandaag een megacrash meegemaakt tijdens de derde vrije training voor de Grand Prix van Rusland. De Spanjaard is gelukkig bij bewustzijn en stak zijn duim op toen hij in de ambulance werd gereden. De foto's van het wrak van Sainz laten zien hoe groot de impact moet zijn geweest. Ook de vangrail heeft een aardige deuk opgelopen door het ongeluk. Bekijk hieronder de foto's.

Er komen toch wel wat vragen bij mij op als ik de beelden en deze foto's bekijk. Wat is de functie van zo'n "stootkussen" als deze op het oog niet geborgd is en over de auto heen schiet en het hoofd van de rijder raakt.
