Pirelli verlengt contract als bandenleverancier Formule 1

Pirelli is ook na 2016 de bandenleverancier van de Formule 1. Dat heeft Formule 1-baas Bernie Ecclestone bevestigd tijdens een gesprek met de BBC. De Italiaanse bandenfirma verlengt het contract voor twee of drie jaar.

Er waren verschillende bandenfirma's geïnteresseerd in het leveren van rubber aan de Formule 1, maar Ecclestone is tevreden over Pirelli en ziet geen reden om te wisselen naar een andere leverancier.
