Overzicht: Wanneer pakt Hamilton zondag de wereldtitel

Lewis Hamilton gaat ruim aan de leiding van het wereldkampioenschap. De kans bestaat dat de Brit aankomend weekend zijn derde wereldtitel verovert. Hamilton heeft momenteel 66 punten voorsprong op Sebastian Vettel en 73 punten voorsprong op teamgenoot Nico Rosberg. Na de Grand Prix van de VS zullen er nog maximaal 75 punten te verdienen zijn voor het kampioenschap. Het is dus belangrijk voor Hamilton om na zondag een voorsprong te hebben van 75 punten op de nummer twee in het kampioenschap, aangezien het aantal overwinningen dit seizoen niet meer geëvenaard kunnen worden door Vettel en Rosberg.

Maar wanneer is de Brit wereldkampioen? Hieronder een overzicht. Mocht één van deze situaties zich voor doen is de wereldtitel zondag voor het tweede jaar op rij voor Lewis Hamilton.

Als de situatie niet is zoals hierboven weergegeven, zal Hamilton nog minimaal een week moeten wachten totdat in Mexico zich een nieuwe kans voordoet om de titel te pakken. Mocht Hamilton buiten de top vijf finishen betekent dat automatisch dat de Brit geen wereldkampioen wordt. Zelfs als Vettel geen punten pakt heeft Hamilton in dat geval nog niet genoeg punten om zich te verzekeren van de titel.

Zal Rosberg nu eindelijk eens zelf de deur dichtgooien nu hij eigenlijk toch bijna geen kampioen meer kan worden en alleen maar voor zeges gaat? Wordt altijd zo moe dat hij altijd op de rem staat als Hamilton hem naar buiten duwt of iets dergelijks zoals in Suzuka

Leuk voor Lewis dat hij zijn 3de Wereldtitel kan pakken om zo op gelijke hoge met zijn idool te komen, maar het feit dat hij met een x aantal races nog te gaan de titel al kan pakken laat maar eens zien hoe saai 2015 eigelijk was (Buiten Max's Debuutseizoen natuurlijk). In dat opzicht vond ik 2014 veel spannender waar Lewis en Nico nog echt nek aan nek mochten gaan.

Iedereen gaat er vanuit dat Hamilton de titel pakt en ik ook.

Maar wat zou het gaaf zijn als Rosberg de titel nog pakt, of nog gaver Vettel in z'n eerste jaar bij Ferrari nadat Mercedes zo oppermachtig bleek.

Realistisch gezien denk ik dat we nog een weekje mogen wachten voordat Hamilton definitief kampioen is.

Hamilton behaalde zijn 3e (en 2e) wereldtitel op 24 augustus 2014, ongeveer om 14:05.

  Helemaal niet zeker gezien de betrouwbaarheid van de Benzjes de laatste tijd, vooral die van Nico weliswaar... Het zou die van Lewis is kunnen zijn die het laat afweten dit w-e

Droomscenario...: Rosberg gooit knetterhard de deur dicht, Silberpfeile schieten er af en Vettel wint de race...
En niet omdat ik het Hamilton niet gun, integendeel, hij verdient m zeker...maar dan wordt het tenminste nog spannend????

Als je de zaak vanuit een ander perspectief bekijkt en even loslaat wanneer Hamilton kampioen kan worden, hij heeft de komende 4 GP's nog maar maximaal 34 punten nodig. Zelfs met 2 uitvalbeurten hoeft hij alleen nog maar 2 keer 2e te worden, wanneer Vettel alles zou winnen. Je kan hopen op wat spanning, maar die lijkt mij zeeeeer ver te zoeken.
