Lauda mogelijk niet meer te zien als TV analist bij RTL Duitsland

Niki Lauda weet niet zeker of hij ook volgend jaar nog als analist te zien zal zijn bij de Duitse zender RTL. De Oostenrijker weet niet of hij nog wel zin heeft zijn tijd te verdelen tussen Mercedes en de TV zender.

Afgelopen Grand Prix in Rusland was Lauda ook al niet te zien bij de Duitse zender. Lauda zegt daar het volgende over: “Ik heb een overeenkomst met RTL dat ik één race mag missen. Ik heb besloten dat in Sochi te doen.”

De Duitse krant Bild meld dat Lauda komend weekend weer terug is bij de zender. Of de drievoudig wereldkampioen ook volgend jaar nog te zien is bij RTL kon Lauda nog niet zeggen: “Mijn contract loopt door tot het einde van dit jaar. Ik weet niet of we ook volgend jaar nog samen zullen werken. We hebben dat eigenlijk nog niet besproken.”

RTL Duitsland weet ook nog niet of ze Lauda een nieuw contract willen geven. De prijs voor de Formule 1-rechten zou namelijk behoorlijk hoger zijn. Lauda krijgt volgens geruchten 1 miljoen euro per jaar voor zijn taken bij de zender. Dat kan mogelijk een rol spelen. Ook speelt RTL met het idee om de Formule 1 achter de decoder te plaatsen, zodat er meer inkomsten mogelijk zijn. Maar dat idee wordt waarschijnlijk niet uitgevoerd.

    Twee keer naar RTL gekeken bij gebrek aan beter. Zo frustrerend die reclameblokken van bijna 5 min. Tien liever de BBC

      Inderdaat. die reclame blokken zijn uiterst irritant, kunnen ze beter voor de race en na de race een ultra lange reclame blok doen van bijvoorbeeld 10 minuten ofzo. Maar helaas..

      Als ik hun verslag hoor dan rijden er maar 4 coureurs in 3 teams rond. De rest wordt maar ingevult door reclame.

      inderdaad, ik heb alleen de duitse zender wel is aan als BBC niet uitzend, en dan met een livestream van sky geluid hard en geluid van de tv uit werkt ook prima :P

    Slechte zaak dat RTL het achter decoder zet. Anyway komende race zullen veel mensen op veronica de race volgen en alle races die op BBC worden uitgezonden. We zullen het zien hoe het loopt.
