Hamilton: "Kan niet de woorden vinden om te beschrijven wat ik voel"

Lewis Hamilton heeft zijn derde wereldtitel veroverd. De Brit won de Grand Prix van de Verenigde Staten en komt met zijn derde titel in een rijtje met Ayrton Senna en Niki Lauda. Hamilton was na afloop van de race erg geëmotioneerd en wist naar eigen zeggen niet hoe hij zijn gevoelens kon verwoorden.

"Ik kan niet de juiste woorden vinden die kunnen beschrijven hoe geweldig dit voelt", aldus een emotionele Hamilton na afloop van de race op het podium. "Ik had dit niet kunnen doen zonder dit team, dat voor me heeft gezorgd de afgelopen drie jaren en me absoluut geweldig geholpen heeft."

"Het is echt een overweldigend gevoel op dit moment. Ik herinner me nog dat ik mijn eerste Britse titel had gewonnen en dat ik samen met mijn vader op weg naar huis 'We Are The Champions' zong," vervolgt Hamilton. "Het is erg lastig om te bevatten dat ik nu hier sta als drievoudig wereldkampioen."

Met zo'n auto wordt Vettel, Alonso, Button, Ricciardo, Verstappen, Massa, Button en nog wel een aantal ook kampioen.

Geen drol aan om op deze wijze kampioen te worden. Alsof Real Madrid in de Jupiler League meedoet.

    Lewis, het jongetje dat geïnspireerd was door Senna en uitgerekend in Brazilië 2008 zijn eerste titel pakte met een helm in de kleuren van Senna. 7 jaar later komt hij op gelijke hoogte met Senna met 3 titels en pakt hij zijn 3de titel in hetzelfde land waar hij in 2007 de eerste GP won van zijn F1 carriere (Indianapolis). Echt mooi! Wat een grootheid is deze meneer al. En hij is nog lang niet klaar in de F1. Volgend jaar op gelijke hoogte met Vettel en Prost met 4 titels? Die kans zit er dik in.

      Ik dacht dat jij zo'n Hamilton-fan was? Zal wel niet, anders had je wel geweten dat hij voor het eerst won in Canada 2007... ;)

    Max is eigenlijk de echte kampioen dit jaar !
    Hij heeft meer punten dan 3 coureurs met een snellere auto + zijn eigen teamgenoot
    Maldonado, Hulkenberg en Grosjean en Sainz
    Vettel staat tweede hij heeft meer punten als 1 coureur met een snellere auto + zijn eigen teamgenoot.
    De rest Hamilton, Bottal ect. heeft alleen gewonnen van zijn teamgenoot en van coureurs met mindere auto's !

      Dat de Lotus een sterkere wagen is dan de STR durf ik te betwijfelen, eerder evenwaardig of zelfs iets minder goed. Lotus heeft bepaalde circuits waar ze goed uit de verf komen, dat wel.

      Door Lewis heb ik eerder een paar jaar niet gekeken ;-) Geintje natuurlijk. Maar vergeleken met Senna en of een Hakkinnen. Nee tis het niet. Ook nog een slordige maar erg snelle rijder. Soort van Maldonado op steroids. Dus minder fouten en sneller ;-)

    Tja,en waarschijnlijk zal het je laatste niet zijn, Lewis.
    Je bent één van de top piloten van het moment in de F1.
    Zolang Mercedes zo blijft domineren en je geen betere teammaat krijgt, blijft de weg open naar meer GP's en meer wereldtitels.
