Morgen zullen de Formule 1-coureurs officieël beginnen aan het zevende raceweekend van het seizoen. In Turkije rijden echter niet alleen de Formule 1-coureurs, ook de GP2 en GP3 strijkt neer in Istanbul.

Formule 1
Het Formule 1-circus is deze week neergestreken in Istanbul voor de Grand Prix van Turkije. Felipe Massa kende hier enkele jaren geleden veel successen, scoorde hier onder andere zijn eerste overwinning en was daarna nog tweemaal de sterkste. De Red Bull-coureurs, Sebastian Vettel en Mark Webber, zullen de goede vorm van het team echter door willen zetten. Het zal erg spannend worden komend weekend, want verder zijn ook de Mercedes-coureurs, de McLaren-rijders en Fernando Alonso kanshebbers.

Kwalificatie & Race:
Kwalificatie: zaterdag 29 mei, 14:00 uur
Race: zondag 30 mei, 14:00 uur

GP2 Series
Net als de Formule 1 zal ook de GP2 Series dit weekend naar Turkije afreizen. Giedo van der Garde zal, na zijn tweede plaats in Monaco, hopen op meer succes. De Nederlander zal in ieder geval zijn teamgenoot moeten zien verslaan, want Sergio Perez leidt op dit moment het kampioenschap. Verder zal ook Ho-Pin Tung hopen op een beter weekend dan in Monaco, waar hij puntloos bleef.

Kwalificatie & Race:
Kwalificatie: vrijdag 28 mei, 15:00 - 15:30 uur
Race 1: zaterdag 29 mei, 14:40 uur
Race 2: zondag 30 mei, 10:35 uur

GP3 Series
Het GP3-circus reisde niet af naar Monaco en zal hier in Turkije dus pas haar tweede raceweekend rijden. Renger van der Zande en Nigel Melker begonnen goed aan het weekend in Barcelona, maar stelden beiden teleur in de races. Hopelijk kunnen ze in Istanbul weer de concurrentie verslaan. Verder zal het interessant worden om te zien hoe de jonge coureurs omgaan met de 'tricky' bocht 8.

Kwalificatie & Race:
Kwalificatie: zaterdag 29 mei, 08:45 - 09:15 uur
Race 1: zaterdag 29 mei, 16:20 uur
Race 2: zondag 30 mei, 09:25 uur
