'Vetorecht Ferrari het veiligst voor de Formule 1'

Ferrari heeft met een veto de invoering van een maximumprijs voor de aandrijflijn en versnellingsbakken verhinderd. De Scuderia is het enige team met een stem om eventuele regelwijzigingen in de Formule 1 te herroepen. Volgens sommigen is dat een ongezonde of oneerlijke situatie, maar de overige teams hebben er zelf mee ingestemd.

Red Bull Racing-teambaas Christian Horner legt uit: "Op het moment dat we over het vetorecht van Ferrari moesten beslissen, was de consensus dat het veiliger voor iedereen zou zijn als zij dat recht zouden behouden. Het zou ter bescherming van de teams dienen. Ferrari steekt inmiddels wat anders in elkaar dan destijds, waardoor het veto nu zowel goed als slecht kan uitpakken."

Jean Todt, voorzitter van de internationale autosportbond FIA, deed geen moeite om te verhullen dat het hem teleurstelde dat Ferrari het plan voor een maximale prijs van 12 miljoen euro voor krachtbronnen heeft geblokkeerd. Het dwong de federatie om op zoek te gaan naar alternatieve manieren om de kosten te drukken. De FIA zet nu in op een onafhankelijke leverancier van klantenmotoren.

    Tijd om dat vetorecht in te trekken.
    Het is te belachelijk voor woorden dat 1 team een vetorecht heeft en de rest niet.

      Dan moet jij toch eens d betekenis van Vetorecht op gaan zoeken.

      Alle teams kunnen Vetorecht hebben.
      Dat betekent dat, als er 1 team is dat het er niet mee eens is, dan gebeurt het niet.
      Binnen de NAVO hebben ook verschillende landen vetorecht

    Hahahaha nu snijden ze zich dus in de vingers met hun eigen beslissing. Het Vetorecht is altijd een discutabel iets, er zijn namelijk eigenbelangen die meespelen. De teams moeten nu niet gaan zeuren, want ze hebben dus zelf ingestemd. Ik denk dat Ferrari onder het huidige management beter is dat het vorige, maar dan nog zal eigenbelang altijd meespelen. Hoe kunnen ze nu een enkel team een Vetorecht geven, dat is toch eigenlijk gewoon bezopen!! De Fia moet ook niet zeuren, want zijn moeten gewoon de touwtjes in handen nemen en zelf de beslissingen nemen.

    Hoewel het op zich raar is dat er 1 team een vetorecht heeft, zou je het ook kunnen omdraaien. Want hoe had de F1 er uitgezien zonder Ferrari's Veto recht? Wat hadden Ecclestone, Mosley en anderen dan van de F1 gemaakt? Ik vermoed dat de Engelse fractie binnen de F1 er dan voor gezorgd had dat de F1 een soort veredelde GP2 was geworden. Allemaal hetzelfde motortje - want lekker goedkoop - dat soort ongein...
