Eerste vrouwelijke F1-coureur is vandaag jarig

Maria Teresa de Filippis, de eerste vrouw die het tot de Formule 1-grid schopte, is vandaag jarig. De Italiaanse heeft de leeftijd van 89 jaar bereikt. In 1958 probeerde ze zich eerst in Monaco te kwalificeren, maar dat was tevergeefs. Later dat jaar lukte het wel in België. Ze kreeg nog een complimentje van een topper uit die tijd, de legendarische Juan Manuel Fangio. "Hij zei me dat ik te hard reed." De felicitaties gaan uit naar de jarige De Filippis.
