Dieven Red Bull-bokalen de gevangenis in

Vorig jaar december werd het team van Red Bull Racing opgeschrikt door een trieste diefstal in de fabriek in Milton Keynes. Vier mannen reden met hun auto door de voordeuren van de fabriek en namen zestig bokalen mee die het team in een vitrine had staan in de fabriek. De vier mannen gaan nu de gevangenis in.

Een schrale troost voor Red Bull Racing is dat ongeveer een derde van de trofeeën later werd teruggevonden in een meer. Nadat de mannen voor het gerecht hun betekenis hadden afgelegd werden er gevangenisstraffen van tussen de twee jaar en zeven jaar uitgesproken. Naast de diefstal bij Red Bull Racing werd het kwartet dieven ook schuldig bevonden aan meerdere overvallen in de periode november 2014 - april 2015. De mannen maakten bij die overvallen ruim 300.000 Britse pond buit.
