24 november stemming over toekomst motoren

De Strategy Group en de Formule 1 Commissie komen op 24 november bijeen om te stemmen over de toekomst van de motorformule. Dat meldt Auto Motor und Sport. De internationale autosportbond FIA en commerciële rechtenhouder FOM hopen dan op voldoende steun voor het plan om een onafhankelijke leverancier van een alternatieve klantenmotor toe te laten.

De insteek is om vanaf 2017 een standaard klantenmotor naast de normale krachtbronnen te laten bestaan. Daarvoor hebben de FIA en FOM een meerderheid van de stemmen nodig. In de Strategy Group kan dat nog, daarin vertegenwoordigen de federatie en de commerciële rechtenhouder twaalf van de achttien stemmen, tegenover zes stemmen voor de Formule 1-teams.

In de Formule 1 Commissie wordt dat een lastiger verhaal. Daarin hebben de FIA en FOM 18 van de 24 stemmen nodig en dat lijkt op voorhand een schier onmogelijke taak. De motorleveranciers zijn tegen en zetten waarschijnlijk ook hun klantenteams onder druk om tegen te stemmen. Eerder schoot Ferrari middels hun vetorecht al een plan voor een prijslimiet van 12 miljoen euro voor klantenmotoren af.

      Het enige belang wat Mercedes en Ferrari hebben is hun eigen belang. Ook al leidt dat tot de uiteindelijke ondergang van de F1. Ik zit tenminste niet te wachten op een 'strijd' tussen 2 teams waarbij het enige spannende is of er een Mercedes coureur of een Ferrari coureur de wereldkampioen wordt.

    Ojee gaan ze daar nog over stemmen? Dat gaat Redbull steekpenningen kosten :p. Ben bang dat die klantenmotor het niet gaat halen. Ja goed idee kom we geven ferrari veto recht, goed plan.

    oke, De insteek is om vanaf 2017 een standaard klantenmotor naast de normale krachtbronnen te laten bestaan. maar wat blijft er voor de rest over van de afspraken dat er in 2017 meer lawaai moet zijn, en meer brandstof gebruikt mag worden...v8 meer cc ,, bredere banden. noem maar op. gaat dat ook op voor de standaard klantenmotor, of moet deze standard blijven???????

    Coswortth heeft al vriendelijk bedankt met duidelijke argumenten! De kosten zijn te hoog t.o.v. de mogelijke baten (Alleen Red Bull teams als mogelijke klant) en het is raadselachtig hoe de FIA engine parity kan garanderen tussen 2 type motoren
