McLaren bereidt zich in Abu Dhabi voor op 2016

Het team van McLaren introduceert komend weekend in Abu Dhabi opnieuw wat nieuwe onderdelen voor de MP4-30. De ontwikkeling staat geen moment stil bij de Britse renstal, ondanks het sportief zwaar tegenvallende seizoen. Zo laag als nu, het team staat negende, is McLaren al 25 jaar niet meer geëindigd.

Met het oog op betere resultaten in 2016 voelt het team bij de laatste Grand Prix enkele updates aan de tand. Racing director Eric Boullier legt uit: "Hoewel het de laatste race van het seizoen is, is onze ontwikkeling niet gestopt. We blijven nieuwe onderdelen en componenten aanvoeren voor deze Grand Prix. De ontwikkeling is immer gaande en we hechten veel waarde aan hetgeen we elke keer weer leren."

"We zullen volgend jaar de vruchten plukken van onze inspanningen van dit weekend en het is essentieel dat we alle sessies van het laatste raceweekend van dit seizoen maximaliseren. Niet alleen om een goed gevoel mee te nemen de winter in, maar ook om waardevolle kennis over de auto en de upgrades op te doen zodat we die om kunnen zetten in tastbare progressie voor volgend jaar."
