Gunstige verkiezingsuitslag voor F1 in Argentinië

De kans op een hernieuwde Argentijnse Grand Prix is weer toegenomen. De laatste Formule 1-race in Buenos Aires dateert van 1998, maar Bernie Ecclestone gaf recent aan dat hij met de Argentijnen om de tafel zit. "We praten met ze en het is mogelijk."

De uitslag van de presidentsverkiezingen van dit weekend heeft voor een nieuwe impuls gezorgd. De regeringspartij leed een nederlaag en Mauricio Macri is verkozen tot nieuwe president. Macri is geboren en getogen in Buenos Aires en maakte jarenlang deel uit van de lokale overheid.

Hij beloofde hervormingen om de economie aan te zwengelen. Een Grand Prix zou daar bij kunnen helpen. Macri: "Het probleem is dat er al vier jaar geen groei is geweest in dit land, al vier jaar zijn er geen nieuwe banen gecreëerd. Nu is het zaak om het land weer op gang te krijgen."

Ik denk dat de kans groot is dat wanneer dit circuit daadwerkelijk op de F1 kalender komt Max niet meer voor STR rijdt.
