Motordeal Red Bull zet NASCAR-plannen Ricciardo in ijskast

Na enkele maanden van onzekerheid, bracht Christian Horner vandaag goed nieuws voor Red Bull Racing: er is een contract getekend met een motorleverancier. Daardoor zijn Red Bull-rijders Daniil Kvyat en Daniel Ricciardo verzekerd van een langer verblijf in de Formule 1.

Voor Ricciardo heeft de motordeal misschien toch een licht bittere nasmaak. Enkele weken geleden kreeg de drievoudig Grand Prix-winnaar een Tweet van NASCAR-coureur en -teameigenaar Dale Earnhardt Jr., die aangaf dat Ricciardo een NASCAR zou mogen testen. Ricciardo leek dit wel te zien zitten en zinspeelde zelfs op deelname aan de twee NASCAR-races op de roadcourses, maar de nieuwe motorleverancier voor Red Bull lijkt nu roet in het eten te gaan gooien.

"Op het moment is het nog een beetje grappenmakerij. Maar als Red Bull vandaag zou zeggen dat ik geen stoeltje meer heb, heb ik niets meer te doen en zou ik Dale op zijn minst bellen voor die test," vertelde de Australiër. "Het idee is hartstikke leuk en toen ik de tweet van Dale zag was ik erg opgetogen, maar ik zal het idee voorlopig nog even moeten parkeren."

      Op mij komt dit over als een poging een bericht te plaatsen terwijl er eigenlijk geen actuele aanleiding is om een bericht over te schrijven.

      jou grap is echt slecht;)

      nee nu even serieus.
      als je het echt aandachtig gaat lezen kun je er wel kaas van maken, brood van bakken en niet als een koe in de wei naar een voorbijkomende trein gaan staan kijken.

      dale heeft een tijd geleden aangeboden via twitter om te testen in een NASCAR-auto.
      daarop reageerde ricciardo dat hij wel een paar races wilde rijden op roadcourses,
      maar omdat er nu een nieuwe motorleverancier is gaat dit alles dus niet door omdat ricciardo nu is verzekert van een stoeltje.

      wat fijn toch weer dat wij met zijn allen vanavond weer lekker kunnen slapen omdat we hebben begrepen wat er in dit bericht staat en niet heel de nacht wakker liggen en te denken aan dit bericht

      Ach wat leuk! Men begint mij te kennen hier :-)
      Ik kijk inderdaad graag regelmatig naar de kwaliteit programma's van SBS6. Ik kan daarom ook niet wachten totdat Max een keer mee gaat doen aan zo'n SBS6 programma zoals die waarin BNers van een duikplank duiken.
