Beperkt aantal kaarten voor eerste GP in Bakoe

De organisatie van de eerste Formule 1-race in Bakoe stelt maar een zeer beperkt aantal kaarten beschikbaar voor de editie van 2016. De Grand Prix van Europa in de Azerbeidzjaanse hoofdstad zal naar schatting bijgewoond worden door 28.000 toeschouwers.

Dat staat in schril contrast met de hoeveelheid fans die de Mexicaanse Grand Prix vorige maand bezocht, namelijk 135.000. In Bakoe zijn echter maar een beperkt aantal hotelkamers. Van de 9.500 kamers gaan er al 2.500 naar stakeholders van de Formule 1. De rest is voor bezoekers.

Promotor Arif Rahemov: "We houden 7.000 kamers over, daarin kunnen ongeveer 10.000 bezoekers terecht. Dat is de maximale capaciteit wat betreft mensen die hier kunnen verblijven. We zijn vol vertrouwen dat we de internationale tickets snel uit zullen verkopen."

"We limiteren de kaartverkoop niet tot 10.000, maar we waarschuwen wel dat het misschien lastig is om een verblijfplaats te vinden." Er zijn 20.000 tribuneplaatsen in Bakoe voor de eerste Grand Prix, de rest van de kaarten is voor general admission, oftewel staanplaatsen.

Zo zo zo belachelijk dat daar gereden wordt. Er komt wat olie uit de grond en we willen een feestje. 0,0 binding met de F1. En dat ook nog op dezelfde dag als Le Mans. Ik roep iedereen op deze race te boycotten.

      hoezo te laat.

      ooit een filmje gezien dat ze in japan in 2 weken tijd een flink hotel hebben gebouwd(of een appartementencomplex) maar het was een flink gebouw in 2 weken tijd

    Financieel zal dit een zware opdoffer worden vrees ik, want normaal moet je toch minstens 100duizend tickets kunnen slijten om break-even te zijn, tenzij Bernie bij deze manche geen geld wil opstrijken... grapje deze

    Bakoe is een fantastische stad. Een van oudsher tot op heden belangrijke metropool, mooi, apart, veel te doen enz.. Het is niet dat Bernie een nietszeggend dorpje heeft uitgekozen. Dat velen het niet kennen is belachelijker dan het feit dat er een GP plaatsvindt. Het verbaast me wel van die hotels, want Bakoe is echt groot, meer dan twee miljoen inwoners. Ik sliep toen in het Hilton, volgens mij zijn er toch best wat ketens vertegenwoordigd.

      je hoort niemand klagen over de stad zelf

      alleen over het feit dat daar een f1 race wordt gehouden terwijl velen liever andere banen zien dan dat ze daar racen. ik zie ze zelf ook liever in duitsland, of italie rijden dan in bakoe
