Silverstone op schema met bouw van nieuwe pits en paddock

Vanaf 2011 is de pitstraat op het circuit van Silverstone niet langer gesitueerd tussen de bochten Woodcote en Abbey, maar tussen de bochten Club en Abbey. De Engelse baan is begonnen met de bouwwerkzaamheden en tot nu verloopt alles volgens plan.

Circuitdirecteur Richard Phillips: Deze nieuwe faciliteiten, en de rest van de renovatie van Silverstone, zullen zorgen voor een locatie waar auto- en motorsportactiviteiten in stijl gevierd kunnen worden. Met het hypermoderne complex in Stowe bieden we fabrikanten, bedrijven en merken die betrokken zijn in autosport nog meer, terwijl het nieuwe pits en paddock complex Silverstone in de 21ste eeuw brengt. Het doel is om ons circuit te transformeren in een toonaangevend centrum voor educatie, zaken, ontspanning en technologie.
