Austin voorwaardelijk op F1-kalender voor 2016

De World Motor Sport Council van de internationale autosportbond FIA heeft de officiële Formule 1-kalender voor 2016 gepubliceerd. Daarop staan zoals verwacht 21 races, met achter twee Grands Prix een sterretje. Die staan voorwaardelijk op het schema.

Bij Bakoe is dat logisch, elk nieuw circuit moet eerst de keuring doorstaan. Maar ook Austin staat voorwaardelijk op het programma. De organisatie in de Verenigde Staten moet eerst een akkoord met Bernie Ecclestone bereiken nu de subsidie vanuit de staat Texas is verlaagd.

De Formule 1-kalender voor 2016:

3 april - Bahrein

17 april - China

1 mei - Rusland

15 mei - Spanje

29 mei - Monaco

12 juni - Canada

19 juni - Europa (Bakoe)

3 juli - Oostenrijk

10 juli - Groot-Brittannië

24 juli - Hongarije

31 juli - Duitsland

28 augustus - België

4 september - Italië

18 september - Singapore

2 oktober - Maleisië

9 oktober - Japan

23 oktober - VS

30 oktober - Mexico

13 november - Brazilië

27 november - Abu Dhabi

      Eens maar ik vind Sepang daar toch ook wel onder vallen. Austin en Sepang zijn de enige 2 die mij kunnen bekoren.

    Als Bernie de amerikaanse markt echt zo belangrijk vind als hij altijd doet voorkomen (wil er het liefst 2 of 3 GP's per seizoen) dan verdwijnt dat sterretje heel snel.
    Vind hij de centjes echt zo belangrijk als hij altijd laat zien dan verdwijnt de GP.

    Zou zonde zijn, want ik vind Austin een van de mooiere nieuwe banen en de VS hoort met zijn racehistorie en tradities ook een GP te huisvesten.

    Zou jammer zijn als Austin niet door zou gaan. Stel als het niet doorgaat krijgen ze dan nog een alternatief circuit of wordt Mexico een week eerder naar voren geschoven ?
