Voorbereiding Red Bull Racing op 2016 op schema

Red Bull Racing heeft de boel weer helemaal op de rit met het oog op volgend seizoen. De Oostenrijkse renstal strikte een motorenpartner voor 2016 en de ontwikkeling van de auto is terug op schema. Dat laat teambaas Christian Horner aan Autosport weten.

"We hebben vier verschillende varianten van het chassis ontworpen", begint hij. "Maar de regels zijn vrij statisch voor volgend jaar, dus het is een evolutie van de auto van dit seizoen. Alle perikelen hebben het qua tijd wel krap gemaakt voor ons, maar het team heeft fantastisch gereageerd en geweldig werk geleverd, waardoor we weer helemaal op schema liggen."

"Waar we veel voldoening uit halen, is dat het chassis sinds Silverstone in elke sector waar topsnelheid geen of een beperkte rol speelde in de voorste regionen te vinden was. De laatste sector in Abu Dhabi was, zeker gezien met hoeveel vleugel wij ten opzichte van de concurrentie reden, indrukwekkend. Dat toonde de klasse van ons chassis aan."

Vrijdag wordt waarschijnlijk meer duidelijk over de motorenplannen van Red Bull Racing. Nieuwe sponsor TAG-Heuer reageerde op alle speculatie: "Wacht maar tot morgen om te horen wat de bedoeling is."

      Zijn gewoon trotse mensen die zien dat het matige resultaat van afgelopen 2 seizoenen niet aan het ontwerp van de auto heeft gelegen...

    Toch pijnlijk voor Mclaren dat ze TAG kwijt zijn.
    Denk alleen is in hoeveel publiciteit dit nu alleen al voor TAG oplevert..... gouden zet toch?
