Mercedes bijna 4,9 miljoen kwijt aan inschrijfgeld

Het team van Mercedes moet 4.870.510 dollar aan inschrijfgeld voor het seizoen 2016 betalen, zo berekende F1i.com. Elk team betaalt een basisbedrag van 516.128 dollar. Vervolgens komt daar voor de kampioen bij de constructeurs 6.194 dollar per punt bovenop. De overige teams betalen 5.161 dollar per punt.

Kampioen Mercedes behaalde in 2015 twee punten meer dan in 2014, 703 om 701 punten. Als gevolg daarvan stijgt de rekening van de FIA voor de Duitse renstal met 12.388 dollar, naar bijna 4,9 miljoen dollar. Ferrari betaalt de prijs voor het veel betere seizoen dan vorig jaar en moet meer dan 1 miljoen dollar meer betalen dan voor 2015. De Scuderia maakt 2,7 miljoen aan inschrijfgeld over.

Aan het andere uiteinde staat uiteraard Manor, dat puntloos bleef in 2015 en voor 2016 alleen het basisbedrag van 516.128 dollar hoeft te betalen. Het rampseizoen van McLaren krijgt zo toch nog een positieve noot, want de Britse renstal is bijna 800.000 dollar minder kwijt aan inschrijfgeld. Scuderia Toro Rosso moet 861.915 dollar betalen, een stijging van bijna 200.000 dollar ten opzichte van vorig jaar.

Ik mag hopen dat met de introductie van 25 punten per overwinning inplaats van 10 zoveel jaar geleden de prijs per punt nu minder is dan vroeger - anders is het wel heel erg pijnlijk :D

    Ik mag hopen dat met de introductie van 25 punten per overwinning inplaats van 10 zoveel jaar geleden de prijs per punt nu minder is dan vroeger - anders is het wel heel erg pijnlijk :D

    Door niet in beroep te gaan tegen de straf voor de te hoge bandentemperatuur bij Massa heeft Williams zo Lotus en Toro Rosso op kosten gejaagd ;)

      Klopt niet helemaal, want ze krijgen de hun deel van het prijzengeld op basis van de positie in het klassement en ze betalen het inschijfgeld op basis van de behaalde punten.

      Mercedes had dus beter de auto's niet kunnen laten finishen in de laatste paar races. Dat had ze nog een flink bedrag kunnen besparen.

      Is het nog steeds dat de reiskosten vergoed wordt indien je in de punten finished? Zo ja dan gaat het niet helemaal op ivm Brazilie, Mexico en in mindere mate A.D.

    Hoeveel ontvangen de teams per gescoord punt? Weet je meteen of het een beetje rendabel is. Straks denkt Mercedes na het binnenhalen van de titel: stop maar met punten pakken in de resterende races, want anders moeten we te veel inschrijfgeld betalen volgend jaar!

    Daar staat dan wel een hoger aandeel uit de prijzenpot tegenover. Verder is het, in vergelijking met het totale budget, een schijntje voor teams als Mercedes en Ferrari. Echter voor de gewone man blijven het vulgair hoge bedragen...

      Die laatste opmerking is nutteloos. Wat jij vulgair hoog vindt, vind ik schitterend mooie bedragen. Maar hoe dan ook, er is niet één "gewone man" die met dat geld aan de haal gaat of dat geld moet betalen. Dit is een sport met miljarden kijkers, net als voetbal. Daar mogen de prijzen en boetes dan ook wel naar zijn.
