Jock Clear enige aanwinst bij Ferrari deze winter

Het team van Ferrari versterkt de gelederen deze winter alleen met engineer Jock Clear, die van Mercedes afkomstig is. Verder vertrouwt de Scuderia op dezelfde organisatie als dit jaar. Dat houdt ook in dat de veelbesproken engineer Benjamin Hoyle niet naar Maranello verhuist.

Hoyle is door zijn huidige werkgever Mercedes aangeklaagd op verdenking van het verduisteren van vertrouwelijke informatie. De geruchten gingen gelijk dat hij zich aan zou sluiten bij Ferrari, maar dat is door zowel de Scuderia als de Duitse renstal in alle toonaarden ontkend.

Ferrari-teambaas Maurizio Arrivabene verkondigde: "De enige nieuwkomer bij Ferrari voor 2016 is Jock Clear en niemand anders. Al die verhalen dat Hoyle naar ons zou verkassen, zijn totaal ongefundeerd! Hij is daardoor wel de meest besproken engineer in de Formule 1."
