Dennis zet alleen de poppetjes neer bij McLaren

Ron Dennis vindt zichzelf nog steeds geschikt om McLaren richting nieuwe successen te dirigeren. Hij is niet meer direct verantwoordelijk voor de prestaties in de Formule 1, maar hij is wel verantwoordelijk voor de samenstelling van de teamleiding.

Onder Eric Boullier zakte McLaren dit jaar door de ondergrens, al kon de Fransman weinig doen aan de problematische start van de hernieuwde samenwerking met Honda. Het probleem lag vooral bij de Japanse autofabrikant. 2016 is daardoor wel een jaar van de waarheid.

Dennis heeft het volste vertrouwen, in zichzelf en in de teamdirectie. "Of ik nog fit en geschikt ben voor mijn werk? Ik ben kerngezond, voor zover ik weet. Ik zorg goed voor mezelf, ik val niet om van vermoeidheid en ik ben zeer gemotiveerd. Ik loop over van de ambitie."

"Ik zal altijd ambitieus zijn. De Formule 1 is uitdagend, maar het is niet mijn uitdaging. Mijn uitdaging is om de juiste mensen op de juiste plaats te zetten. Dat is voor elk bedrijf een uitdaging, de juiste leiders kiezen. Dat gaat soms niet helemaal goed, maar het blijft een uitdaging."

    Jammer dat de titel een amateuristische gevolgtrekking is van een slechte interpretatie van een overgenomen artikel.

      Gevolg van de Telegraaf-mentaliteit van tegenwoordig. Maakt niet uit of iets relevant, inhoudelijk of feitelijk juist is als het maar zo sensationeel verkocht wordt.

    Ik snap nog steeds dw keuze voor Boullier niet. Ik vind hem absoluut geen McLaren man.

    Bouillion blokje kreeg anders het oude Renault team als Lotus terug op de rit, haalde Kimi uit zijn F1 pensioen, maakte van Croissant een goede coureur die de losse flipperkastbal tussen zijn oren leerde beheersen, gaf James Allison (nu ontwerper Ferrari) de kans om een fatsoenlijke auto op de grid te zetten waarmee aardig wat podia en zelfs een overwinning mee behaald werden.
    Na Eric zijn vertrek is Lotus afgezakt tot zo goed als failliet, Renault heeft het gelukkig voor het personeel teruggekocht, welliswaar met een adviserende briatore welke het team ooit met financiele hulp van de familie benneton Toleman overnam en met het team 4 rijder wk's en 3 contructeur wk's wist te behalen.

    Eric Bouillier is een zeer bekwaam manager, heeft dat wat whitmarsh niet had/heeft.
    Durft keuzes te maken en doet nagenoeg geen onverstandige uitspraken, Heeft het vertrouwen van ras-autist Ron Dennis nog niet weten te verspelen, dat is al knap opzich
