Ferrari stelde werk aan het chassis voor 2016 uit

Het team van Ferrari is later dan gepland begonnen met het werk aan bepaalde onderdelen van het chassis voor de nieuwe auto. Dat verklapte voorzitter Sergio Marchionne aan Autosport. "We hebben wat dingen uitgesteld om de ontwikkeling van de auto van 2015 volledig af te ronden."

Hij vervolgt: "Hopelijk gaat Maurizio Arrivabene (teambaas, red.) daar niet over klagen. We hebben het werk aan enkele onderdelen van het chassis voor ons uitgeschoven, wat uitgesteld. We beschikken echter over genoeg tijd en financiële middelen om binnen de huidige regels daar een antwoord op te verzinnen."

"Ik heb er dan ook alle vertrouwen in dat we Mercedes het vuur na aan de schenen gaan leggen. We hebben de auto voor 2016 benaderd met een duidelijk idee en een heldere interpretatie. Het is onwaarschijnlijk dat we met de nieuwe wagen Mercedes niet uit kunnen dagen. We hebben dit keer geen excuses, de ontwikkeling van de bolide is op tijd in gang gezet."

    Ze hebben altijd nog het chassis van Haas achter de hand wat feitelijk op punten beter is aangezien Ferrari stug vast blijft houden aan ouderwetse ideeën en methodes.

      Waar haal je dit vandaan? Qua setup voor ophanging (veer/dempers) is Ferrari altijd vooruitstrevend geweest. Haas copieert een groot gedeelte van Ferrari, maar wel de oude technologie.
      Lijkt me dat we eerst maar eens moeten afwachten waar Haas is in 2016.

      jonson goed gezien Ferrari probeert meer te veranderen dan menig ander team.
      Neem b.v de pull rod voor en achter of alleen voor, andere radiator layout enz.
      Maar rimmer roept maar wat zonder dat hij feiten bekijkt. Maar dat zijn er wel meer die zomaar wat roepen.

    Ben benieuwd; wellicht hebben ze door de lange doorontwikkeling van 2015 meer informatie vergaard voor de wagen van 2016?

      Dat mag ik hopen, had toch eigenlijk verwacht dat ze toch juist optijd de aandacht naar 2016 hadden verlegt. Tweede in het kampioenschap was leuk voor Vettel geweest, maar daar zal Vettel ook niet veel waarde aan hechten. Hij zal liever in 2016 alle kansen willen benutten.

    ter herinnering voor Ferrari, als zij eenzelfde miskleun maken als RedBull-Renault afgelopen seizoen....
    Renault had de zaakjes in 2014 beter voorelkaar dan Ferrari, won 3 races als Mercedes faalde.

    en zelfs zonder updates konden de rb's en str's de scuderia regelmatig goed bijhouden en dan met name in de races.

    McLaren en Honda komen eraan, de str krijgt er grof gezegd 80pk bij in een niet lullig chassis.
    Als James Key de eigenschappen van het chassis van afgelopen seizoen weet te behouden na installatie van de 2015 Ferrari (Alfa Romeo?) dan kunnen ze leuk uit de hoek komen, alla Sauber in Perez zijn debut jaar, ooh wacht, die auto was ook getekend door James Key en aangedreven door Ferrari...

    Ferrari kan alleen maar of niveau vasthouden of terugvallen, Mercedes is lichtjaren vooruit met zowel chassis als motor en vooral de combinatie.
    andere teams hebben nu eerst de pijlen gericht op de plek van de scuderia, die zijn wel te pakken.

      kan best zijn dat mercedes vooruit ligt maar stel dat het veld wat meer in elkaar schuift gaat mercedes het toch moeilijk krijgen. dat hebben we gezien in races waarin hamilton en rosberg niet op een en twee lagen, toen waren ze ineens niet meer zo goed
