Hoofdengineer op het punt om Sauber te verlaten

Sauber moet het komend seizoen waarschijnlijk stellen zonder de inbreng van hoofdengineer Giampaolo Dall'Ara. Speed Week en Omnicorse berichten dat de 47-jarige Italiaan de Formule 1 verruilt voor een baan in de DTM.

Dall'Ara zou bij BMW aan de slag gaan als race-engineer. Hij werkte eerder met BMW toen de Duitse autofabrikant partner van Sauber in de Formule 1 was. De Italiaan was sinds 2000 werkzaam in Hinwil en bekleedde de laatste jaren de functie van head of track engineering. Sauber heeft nog geen vervanger voor hem benoemd.
