Mercedes niet rouwig om missen regenbandentest

De afwezigheid van Mercedes op de deelnemerslijst voor de regenbandentest op Paul Ricard later deze maand wekte lichte verbazing, maar de Duitse renstal vindt het niet erg om die sessie links te laten liggen. Ferrari, Red Bull Racing en McLaren zijn door Pirelli opgeroepen.

De test, toegespitst op de full wets, vindt op 25 en 26 januari plaats. Een woordvoerder van Mercedes verklaarde aan Canal Plus: "We hebben er geen probleem mee om anderen het werk te laten doen. Dat stelt ons in staat om ons volledig te focussen op het ontwerp van de auto voor 2016."
