Regenbandentest Pirelli op Paul Ricard van start

De tweedaagse regenbandentest van Pirelli op het circuit van Paul Ricard is vanochtend van start gegaan. Drie teams komen vandaag en morgen in actie om de bandenleverancier voor de Formule 1 te helpen met de ontwikkeling van de full wets, te weten Ferrari, McLaren en Red Bull Racing.

Kimi Raikkonen, Stoffel Vandoorne en Daniel Ricciardo nemen vandaag de werkzaamheden voor hun rekening. De baan moest kunstmatig onder water gezet worden. Pirelli gebruikt de 3,5 kilometer lange configuratie van de baan en laat de teams in stints van tien ronden rijden. De auto's zitten steeds minstens tien seconden bij elkaar vandaan, om constante omstandigheden te waarborgen.
